ABOUT THE EVENT

The CrazyGames x Construct Game Jam is a fast-paced game development event focused on creating web-based games using the Construct engine. The jam aims to inspire creativity, promote lightweight and instant-play browser experiences, and connect developers with the CrazyGames platform.

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules of participation to ensure a successful, fair, and enjoyable event. Additional information will be shared through our official channels.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

The CrazyGames x Construct Jam (“Event” or “Game Jam”) is co-organized by:

  • CrazyGames / MAXFLOW BV, based in Kessel-Lo, Belgium
  • Scirra Ltd. (Construct), based in London, United Kingdom
  • Indie Hero, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

(collectively referred to as the “Organizers“)

Event Duration and Format

The Event will be conducted online from June 26th to June 30th, 2026.

The judging and evaluation period will take place between July 1st and July 9th, 2026.

All submissions, communication, and judging activities will be conducted through designated online platforms. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have stable internet access and the necessary tools to participate.

Participation

  • Participation is free and open worldwide, unless restricted by local law.
  • Participants must register and submit a game (“Game”) created during the Event.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older, or have permission from a legal guardian to be eligible for prizes.
  • Teams must include at least one member aged 18 or older.

Valid Project Requirements

To be considered a Valid Project, a submission must:

  • Comply with these Terms and Conditions and all official Jam Guidelines.
  • Be developed using the Construct Engine.
  • Be exported as a web-playable (HTML5) game.
  • Be created entirely during the official jam period.
  • Be submitted to the CrazyGames developer portal before the submission deadline.
  • Include complete and accurate submission information through the official Indie Hero platform before the deadline.
  • Be appropriate for a PEGI 12+ audience.

⚠️ Games developed using engines other than Construct, projects started before the Event, or projects that fail to meet the submission requirements will be disqualified.

TERMS AND RULES OF PARTICIPATION

  • Respectful Conduct: All participants must behave respectfully toward fellow participants, organizers, judges, mentors, and partners. Harassment, discrimination, abusive behavior, or misconduct may result in immediate disqualification.

  • Team Structure: Participants may work individually or in teams. Each team must designate one member as the primary point of contact.

  • Legal Compliance: All submitted games must comply with applicable laws and regulations, as well as any relevant third-party licensing requirements.

  • Use of Assets: Third-party assets, tools, plugins, music, fonts, and art resources may be used provided participants possess the appropriate rights, licenses, or permissions and provide attribution when required.

  • Originality: The game itself must be created during the Event period. Participants may use pre-existing tools, frameworks, libraries, and legally licensed assets, provided they comply with these Terms.

  • Malicious Code: Games must not contain malicious, harmful, deceptive, invasive, or unauthorized code.

  • Technical Issues: The Organizers are not responsible for internet outages, hardware failures, software issues, platform downtime, or any other technical problems that may affect participation.

  • Official Time Zone: The official Event time zone is CEST (Central European Summer Time).

  • Submission Deadline: All submissions must be completed by 11:59 PM CEST on June 30th, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

 

SELECTION OF FINALISTS / AWARDS

Judging Criteria

Games will be evaluated based on:

  • Fun
  • Visuals
  • Theme
  • Audio
  • Innovation

The Organizers reserve the right to determine the judging process and appoint qualified judges.

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded:

🥇 1st Place: €750

🥈 2nd Place: €500

🥉 3rd Place: €150

💬 Best Feedback Award: €100

Prize details may be subject to applicable taxes, regulations, and payment restrictions based on the winner’s jurisdiction.

Publishing Opportunities

Selected submissions may receive a proposal for a CrazyGames distribution agreement or publishing opportunity.

Such proposals are entirely separate from the competition results and remain subject to further review, evaluation, quality standards, and business considerations. Publication is not guaranteed.

Unclaimed Prizes

Failure to meet eligibility requirements or respond to prize-related communications within a reasonable timeframe may result in prize forfeiture.

Disqualification

Participants who violate these Terms, submit fraudulent information, engage in plagiarism, attempt to manipulate results, or otherwise act in bad faith may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Organizers.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  • Ownership: Participants retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over their submitted Games.

  • Responsibility: Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that all code, assets, audio, artwork, and other materials included in their submissions are original or properly licensed.

  • Promotional Use: By participating in the Event, participants grant the Organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and promote submitted game titles, screenshots, trailers, gameplay footage, logos, and descriptions for promotional and marketing purposes related to the Event without additional compensation.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Information Collected

The Organizers may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Age
  • Country of residence
  • Discord username

Purpose of Collection

Personal data is collected solely for:

  • Event administration
  • Participant communication
  • Judging and prize distribution
  • Statistical and reporting purposes

Data Usage

Participant data will be used only for purposes directly related to the Event and will not be sold to third parties.

Participant Rights

Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data in accordance with GDPR and applicable local laws.

Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures will be taken to protect participant information.

FINAL PROVISIONS

  • Event Changes: The Organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or cancel the Event in the event of unforeseen circumstances, technical issues, force majeure events, or any situation that may compromise the integrity of the Event.

  • Acceptance of Terms: Participation in the CrazyGames x Construct Jam constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Belgium.

    Any disputes arising from or relating to the Event shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium.
